The talmud prohibits to wear only very lage nose rings on the sabbath day. The rings are so large that the woman needs to remove them, and moving property from place to place is prohibited on sabbath unless some requirements are dealt with (eruv). Rebbeca, on the other hand, the mother of issak, was the first woman known to us to wear a nose ring. |
