I pulled my nose ring out, now it won't stay in?

I saw asleep when a jolt of pain when through me. I woke up to find my nose ring in my hand, and I rushed to the bathroom. There was a bit f blood, so I used the saline solution to clean the wound and the ring. Then I put it back it, but it won't say down. It keeps lifting out of my nose. What should I do?
