Will nose piercing swell the day after?

Hi I'm looking to get my nose pierced tomorrow morning. Will it swell/get red after I get it pierced or the day after? And for how long will it last? I have to go to a wedding on saturday but I'd hate to go with a swollen and red nose.

What do you recommend? Also what kind of jewelry should I use once it gets pierced? Pictures would be great, seeing that I usually don't know what people are talking about.
