When can i change it?

its beena bout two months, and about 2 weeks after i got it pierced, i accidentally almost ripped it out in my sleep. i pushed it back in and i got a lump that got bigger then went away, and now there is a very small one, but i dont know if its actually a bump, or just some pus or nothing. like i said its been two months and i tried to change it and it hurt a little bit, so i stopped. i really want to do it though, can i?
