Nose doesn't seem to heal

Ok so I got my nose pierced last summer at a professional place called the laughing buddah in California and after a whole year without changing the ring and using salt soaks properly after piercing it I can't take my nose ring out for more then an hour tops without it "closing up" on me and having to basically re pierce it with the ring pushing it in, really painfully :( Could it be possible nose isnt accepting the piercing and just won't heal? Anything I can do to help it heal or is this normal?
