my ring is stuck please help

i got my nose pierced with a ring on the 5th of november, but for work ive been asked to put a stud in instead. After a lot of effort o was able to remove the ball, however the gap in my hoop is too small to remove the ring, i have tried pliars but they dont seem to do much. what should i do?
