my nose ring is disappering

i went into a place to get my nose pierced and he asked me if i wanted a ring or hoop. i chose ring. he also asked if i wanted a stud or a hope and i decided to get the stud. he did not tell me which was better and it is very small. now my nose ring is dissapering and i am worried that it wont heal right... what should i do??
