16 gauge sounds painful

ok i have 14 gauge barbells that i put through my ears and that really hurt and i was reading through the FAQs and i saw that you shouldnt get anything smaller than a 16 gauge is it going to hurt for a long time after the piercing?

got mine done with a 16g. hurt for about a week and then it was fine. ended up changing it to a 18g just bc i had a hard time finding cute 16g rings.

A 16g is smaller than a 14g, dumb ass. Learn your gauge sizes. If you already have a 14g, then the 16g should go in easily.
