Where should the back (hook end) of my nose stud be?

I got my nose pierced a couple of days ago &realized that since being placed in my nose, the back has rotated around &is now sitting in the cavity pointed &in the front and center of my nose. I have tried twisting it back around but it seems stuck in this lower space or if twisted the otherway painfully sticks out my nostril. Is this normal? Help, advice, or suggestions..?
