Stuck nose ring

My daughter got her nose pierced 4 months ago it is a windy type of stud almost like a corkscrew.it moves around but we cannot get it out.could scar tissue be holding it in?I took her to another place he said it's swollen inside.she has not had any pain or signs of infection just discomfort if she tries to take it out.what should it do.
