new nose ring

im going to be getting my nose pierced in a week for my birthday and its my first real piercing other than my ears, what are the proper cleaning techniques and what is the proper care for a new nose piercing? also im joining water polo a couple days before i get it pierced, is my nose going to get infected even if i clean it really good right after i get out of the water? please help!
