New Job, Have to take out nose ring. Its been 5 months since pierced, is it going to close?

I got my nose pierced on August 16, 2011. It is now January 17, 2012 I just got a job and it requires me to take my nose ring out before I arrive at work. I'm just afraid its going to close up. Is it healed enough in 5 months that I can take it out and not have to worry about it closing?
