Does it hurt? And what side should i pierce it on?

Does it hurt? ive asked a couple people and some said it doesnt and some says it hurts pretty bad. Ive gotten my belly button pierced and that didnt hurt at all. Ive also repierced my cartlidge and normal holes many times, so im pretty good with pain. I was also wondering what side to get it on. I part my hair to the right was i was thinking i should do it on the left side.
